  4. Cum Clause Cum sol surgat, somno excito. Since the sun is rising, I wake up. causal time relationship – stronger cause and effect subjunctive indicative

  5. Cum Clause Cum pluat, tamen somno excito. Although it is raining, nevertheless I wake up. adversative clause – tamen in second half of sentence subjunctive indicative
