  4. Strong supportive mechanisms are needed to achieve the Aichi Targets LIVING IN HARMONEY WITH NATURE UNDB comes from the symposium organized by IUCN-J and civil society and proposed by the Government of Japan

  6. Nijyu-maru easy and positive message In Japanese • Niju means 20 or Double. • Marumeans ○ or circle. • Circle is the symbol of good achievementor harmony. Niju-maruimplies • By 2020, • Put ○ on all the20 targets, • to achieve the world living in harmony with nature.

  7. Participatory-campaign Simple Steps, know-think-declare To become the Nijyu-maru member

  8. 20 icons has developed for visualizing the effort.

  10. Business Sector, Museum, YouthGroups Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. “SAVE JAPAN Project” Natural History Museum and Institute, Chiba “EcologyPark promoting local biodiversity conservation and public awareness” Japan Biodiversity Youth Network “Youth Conference on Biodiversity”

  11. 60members declare more than 100 actions to achieve the Aichi Targets

Future Perspectives of Nijyu-maru Campaign • Expand the actions declared in Niju-maru campaign to general public • Networking within target groups • Fill the gaps between well addressed targets and not-well addressed targets • Collabrate actions to complement the national targets declared by fifthNBSAP in Japan • Awards for good practices • Possibility of global expansion of Niju-maru
