The mechanics of writing includes correct grammar, spelling, word choice. • Speaking: the ability to join in conversation, answer a question, share an idea. Remaining on topic, speaking clearly, appropriate voice volume and word choice are key. • Listening: processing what is being said by others and understanding how our responses tie into what we are comprehending
