As of 2008, approximately 54 percent of immigrants residing in the United States came from Latin America, approximately 27 percent from Asia, 13 percent from Europe, 3.7 percent from Africa, 2.2 percent from North America, and (Canada, Bermuda, St. Pierre and Miquelon), and 0.6 percent from Oceania.
