COURSE SELECTION • Math Update • Science Update • New Courses for 17-18 • Course Sequence Guide • Pro Tips for Registration • Choose 8 classes (can include study hall) • Must include English, Bible, Math • Consider remaining courses needed for graduation • Maintain balance between home, school, activities • AP/Honors Requirements

  4. DUAL CREDIT AT CIU • Available through CIU to 10th, 11th and 12th grade students • Taught by Ben Lippen staff and CIU professors • Must be pre-approved by Guidance • Additional fee for classes - $450 for 3 hour class • Requires application to CIU • Associate of Arts degree • Courses are listed on Course Selection Guide and indicated with DC

SOPHOMORE YEAR • Grades • Course choices and rigor • Explore outside interests (quality over quantity) • Start visiting colleges of interest • Determine high school courses/levels needed for desired major • Attend college fairs and BLS college visits • Take baseline ACT and SAT in May or June • Take TOEFL (for International students each semester)

Junior Year JUNIOR YEAR • Grades • Course selection, rigor • Determine high school courses needed for desired major • Explore outside interests • Meet college representatives visiting Ben Lippen • Think about what is important to you in a college • Visit colleges • Testing – PSAT, SAT, ACT, and TOEFL • Begin developing a resume that includes achievements, service and experiences

ONLINE REGISTRATION • Rising Seniors: March 3-10 • Rising Juniors: March 13-18 • Rising Sophomores: March 19-23 • Rising Freshmen: March 24-31 • Once online registration opens for your class, you may continue to make changes through March 31. • Individual registration appointments are available with Mrs. Harmon https://calendly.com/amanda-harmon.
