Strong Southerly Winds Across Western Utah This Afternoon • A cold front over extreme northwest Utah will sweep east across northern Utah today. • Strong southerly ahead of the cold front will extend from extreme southwest Utah north into the Salt Lake City metro area. • Wind gusts in the 35 to 45 mph range are expected across much of western Utah this afternoon. • Strong cross winds are expected along all east-west routes through the area. Blowing dust could also restrict visibilities in exposed agricultural areas. Cool and Dry Noon
