GE Questions from Aug 3rd Email Our goal is to assess the feasibility and current state of the technology for neutron detection.  Although neutron detection is our primary interest, we would like to better understand gamma or X-ray detection capabilities.  The following list of questions should provide a feel for our interests: What type of system and sources are you prepared to demonstrate? What progress has been made integrating conversion layers into detection panels for detection of neutrons and/or improving the efficiency of detecting x-rays and gamma rays? What are the detection efficiencies of your current designs? Can you provide details of your basic designs? In what timeframe could a device be ready for testing by GE?
