  4. SUMMARY OF THE POEM The poet desires to live among the animals because they are self contained. They do not weep for their sins and they do their duty to god QUALITY OF SATISFACTION ----The animals are always satisfied .They don't posses the mania of possessing things .They do not so respect for the others . the poet has a deep desire to learn from the animals . Since they show their deep concern with them . ITE Iniciative

  5. DIFFICULT WORD MEANING OF THE POEM • Whine =To complain in an annoying. • Weep=To cry. • Mania=An extremely strong desire. • Dement=Mentally ill. ITE Iniciative

  10. COMPARISON BETWEEN BEHAVIER OF MAN & ANIMALS 1.Man sweat and whine about their conditions But animals do not sweat and whine like man. 2.Man kneels to other but animals do not kneels to other. 3.Animals do not lie awake in the dark weep for theirs sins like man. ITE Iniciative

  11. * why should we conserve wildlife? • 1.Human for their selfish comfort have destroyed wildlife extensively. • 2.Human kills animals for their luxury life • 3.By destroying forest, they build houses,establish industry • Polluted environment through air ,soil, sound ,water pollution etc. ITE Iniciative

  12. WILDLIFE CONSERVATION • Wildlife conservation is the practise of protecting wild plants and animals species and their habitats . The goal of wildlife conservations to ensure that nature will be around for future generation to enjoy and also to recognise the importance of wildlife and wilderness for humans and other species alike. ITE Iniciative

  13. India is still home to some of the most beautiful creatures in the world . There are 400 wildlife sanctuaries and 80 national parks in india. • In Assam 312 nos forest are reserved ITE Iniciative

  15. ORGANISATION FOR PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE IN ASSAM / INDIA & FOREIGN • Government has introduced many acts for the conservation of wildlife. The wildlifeprotection act 1972 is an act of the parliament enacted for protection of plants and animal species. The wildlife protection act of 1972 was enacted in 9 September 1972. ITE Iniciative

  16. Wildlife conservation act 1950= is an act of the western australian parliament that provides the statute relating to conservation and legel protection of flora and fauna ITE Iniciative

The Forest Conservation Act 1980 = In order to check rapid deforestation due to forestlands being released by state govt. for agriculture ,industry and other development projects (allowed under the Indian forest act)the federal govt. enacted the Forest Conservation Act 1980 • The Indian Forest Act 1927 and forest act of State Government= The main objective of this act was to secure exclusive state control over forests to meet the demand for timber ITE Iniciative

  18. National Wildlife Action Plan (2002-2016)=It focuses on strengthening and enhancing the protected area network ,on the conservation of endangered wildlife and their habitats, on controlling trade in wildlife products and on research,education,training. ITE Iniciative

  20. World wide fund for nature (WWF) • WWF is an international non governmental organisation working on issues regarding the conservation ,research and restoration of the environment formally named world wildlife fund. ITE Iniciative

  24. NAME OF WILDLIFE SANCTUARIES IN INDIA 1. Jim Corbett national park = It is the national park in India , located at Uttaranchal. 2.Kaziranga national park is located in Assam it is famous for one horned rhino and royal Bengal tiger . ITE Iniciative

Advantages of wildlife protection • Wildlife is a source of medicine • Many extracts from animals can be used as curative and health-sustaining food supplement • Wildlife Enriches food production • Wildlife Serves as models for mans innovation and inventions • Wildlife is a pool of nutrients and determines the rate and extent of nutrient distribution ITE Iniciative

  32. What's going wrong with wildlife • Every year thousand of animal species become extinct. • Scientists estimate that the current rate of extinction is 1000 times greater than it would normally be because of one factor humans ITE Iniciative

Why we should care • Although we may consider the animal world to be separate from our own,our lives and theirs are intertwined ,connected by a million threads .Plants ,animals ,people and the environment together constitute a biological community –an ecosystem – in which each part depends on the other for survival. When one part of the community is thrown off-balance or eliminated, the entire system suffers ITE Iniciative

  35. Ecosystem • A Ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment(things like air, water and mineral soil)interacting as a system ITE Iniciative

  36. Everyone can “Help” • No act of conservation is too small. We may not be able to bring back the species we have already lost, but many others on the brink of extinction need our immediate attention and action .Don’t be part of the problem . ITE Iniciative
