Year 1 Findings – Access to Care • The initial year of the 2007 – 2010 Delta States Rural Development Network Program (DSRDNP) showed significant activity across the eight state, 224 county or parish region. • Twelve grantees developed or implemented programs addressing ORHP Delta priorities for many communities in the region. • Impact varied considerably by grantee and related to the respective regions’ preparedness to implement programs. Up to an estimated 237,000 Delta region residents or 3.9% of the 6,100,000 people in the area accessed Delta supported programs or services. • Similar numbers of people were reached by the two major service types • Community Education Campaigns – 121,000 • Individual or Group Services – 116,000 HRSA-ORHP All Programs Meeting, August 2009, HMS Associates, Preliminary

  7. Almost all grantees addressed the Chronic Disease priority; one addressed the Teen Pregnancy priority • Approximately 50% of grantees addressed two priorities. Three grantees addressed three Delta priorities and the remaining grantees addressed from one priority up to the maximum of six different Delta priorities.
