  3. BHAGNARI • Home Tract: • Territory of Nari river from Jaccobabad (Sindh) to Sibi (Baluchistan). • Physical Characters: • Massive in size, compact well-proportioned body & limbs. • Body color: White or gray deepening to almost black on neck, shoulders & hump in mature males,

  4. medium sized head with strong neck, small dewlap, small pointed ears, stumpy horns, medium sized hump, straight back, wide muscular & dropping hindquarter, and black tail switch. • Low milk yielder • Body weight: • Males, 450-600Kg; • Females, 325-425Kg.

  5. DAJAL • Home Tract: • Dajal area in district DG Khan in Punjab. • Physical Characters: • Off shoot of the Bhagnari, having similar features however Dajal cattle are comparatively smaller in size & lighter in color. • Cows are low yielder and males are good for draught purpose.

  6. MEDIUM DRAUGHT BREEDS

  7. DHANNI • Home Tract: • Attock, Rawalpindi, Chakwal & Jhelum (Punjab). • Physical Characters: • Medium sized with compact body and varying body color: • 1) predominately white coat with black spots (Chitta Burga), • 2) predominately black coat with white spots (Kala Burga)

  8. 3) white mottles with brown and black patches (Nuqra) and • 4) predominately red coat with white spots (Ratta Burga), • head and ears are small and horns are stumpy, dewlap and hump are compact, back straight. • Low milk yielder, • Body weight: Males 350-450Kg, Females, 270-330Kg.

  10. LOHANI • Home Tract: • Lorali (Baluchistan) & DI Khan (NWFP). • Physical Characters: • Small sized with short stature. Body color; red splashed with white spots, • short thick horns, small ears, a short neck,

  11. well developed hump, moderate dewlap, black tail switch, small tucked up udder. • Production Parameters: • Low milk yielder, • Body weight: • Males 300-350Kg, • Females 230-280Kg.

  12. ROJHAN • Home Tract: • DG Khan (Punjab) & DI Khan (NWFP). • Physical Characters: • small sized with short stature, • Body color is red and white spotted • short pointed horns, • small ears, a short neck,

  13. well developed hump, • extended dewlap, • white tail switch, • small tucked up udder. • Production Parameters: • Low milk yielder, • Body weight: • Males 300-350Kg, • Females 230-280Kg.

  15. KANKREJ • Home Tract: • Tharparker & Badin in Sindh extending to Gujrat in India. • Physical Characters: • Color; silver gray to dark gray, Males darker at the shoulders, hump and hindquarters,.

THARPARKER/THARI • Home Tract: • Tharparker (Sindh). • Physical Characters: • Medium sized with long tapering face, slightly convex fore head, medium sized horns that curve upward and out ward, and large, semi-pendulous ears, light gray, with the color deepening on the fore and hindquarters in males,
