  3. about purpose • sole purpose of man from westminster catechism: glorify god and enjoy Him • flows from identity • you can have several purposes – general and specific - some are non-negotiable • look at your personal history to see the themes of purpose in your life • your “design” will point to your purpose – your inheritance

  4. cultivating purpose • affirmation and love causes incubation of his purposes in us • often developed in context of commitment and community • often forged in adversity and trials • change with the seasons of our lives • flows from our gift orientation • is a place where passion can emerge • emerge out of serving and loving others • birthed through spirituality and communion
