  1. WELCOME ALL PARENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS OF FUTURE SOUTH JERSEY DEVILS LACROSSE PLAYERS

PHILOSOPHY OF SJ DEVILS LACROSSE • To challenge your daughter to be the best she can be both as a player and a person and to compete at the next level. • Instill sound lacrosse skills, game preparation, team work ethic. • Promote pride and sportsmanship in SJ Devils Lax and also in the sport of lacrosse. • To have a positive environment and to support your daughter throughout the season. • To follow up with any college coaches who contact us about your daughter during the season & off-season.

OUR GOALS • Assess your daughter’s initial skill level • Build on the strength’s that she already has from the past. • Improve specific areas for better individual/team play. • Encourage and communicate new/different ideas. • Fun and competitive atmosphere. • Challenge your daughter by demanding “next level” play.

COST AND WHAT IT INCLUDES • Prices – two Packages • Summer Lacrosse • $1150 – If paid in full by 11/1, you get $50 discount • Payment Plan – 3 installments • 11/1 $400, 1/15 $400, and 3/1 $350 • Summer and Fall Lacrosse • $1375 – If paid in fully by 11/1, you get a $50 discount • Payment Plan – 3 installments • 11/1 $475, 1/15 $450, and 3/1 $450 • Families with multiple children participating please speak with the administration for a sister rate. • For people that have financial trouble, please fill out Financial Aid Application on our website and your case will be reviewed by our administration. • All applications MUST be received by 10/20 in order to be reviewed. Need to be a US Lacrosse Member for insurance purposes.

  6. COST AND WHAT IT INCLUDES Cont. Payment Includes the Following • Uniforms • Practices (minimum of 12) and equipment used • Goal cages, pinnies, cones, balls, tents for tournaments will all be provided by South Jersey Devils. • Practices will be at Johnson Road Fields (see website for directions) Practice dates are posted on the website (if there are changes in time or date it will be e-mailed and posted on the website). • Each team will attend four Tournaments • Recruitment Pamphlet • Coaches Fees • Facility Fees

Tournaments(Locations and Dates are Tentative) • Champions Cup – June 15 – 17 (2013, 2014, 2015) • Lax By the Sea – June 15 – 16 (2016, 2017, 2018) • Nation’s Capitol Cup – June 22 – 24 (all teams) [Dates not final] • National Draw – June 22 – 24 (2016, 2017, 2018) [Dates not final] • Lax for a Cure – July 6 – 8 (All Teams) • Virginia Cap cup   July 20 - 22 (2013, 2014, 2015) We will also be taking teams to several Fall Tournaments. If you choose to not partake in the Summer & Fall Package, you may still join at a later date in the spring. Late fall sign up will be an additional $250. Deposits are due by 5/1more info will be posted on the website. Once tournament dates are finalized, they will be posted on our website.

Team Selection Process • Evaluation will take place today - there will be cuts. • What they will look at • Skill level of catching/throwing, ground balls, cradling. • Performance in game situations. • Defensive/Offensive foot work and skills. • Goalies – overall technique • Teams will be posted on Website by October 20th. • Teams are subject to change due to numbers and availability. • If your daughter makes the team, you MUST get your first deposit in by the 11/1 since we already had to register for all tournaments in October. If payment is not received her spot will become available.

Playing Philosophy • We do coach to win, and this is why… • Some games kids will play a little more than others from one game to the next but will strive for as close to even playing time as possible. This is because… • There are miss-matches to take into consideration when coaching including speed, skill sets, defensive "packages" and offenses that play to certain player's strengths • Practices that are missed are also taken into consideration. Please see attendance policy on the website. • College coaches are not concerned with the over all winning as a whole but the individual's performance. • Interest in their school and off field characteristics.

Playing Philosophy • Having Kristen and Melissa on our staff to support this from a Division I and III college philosophy really enables us to tap into another perspective that other programs do not have. • Everyone has paid to participate and deserves the time and respect that they paid for. • Playing and growing as a player and person to be able to get to a college is our primary goal for EVERY player.

  11. REFUND POLICYAlso posted on the website • No Refund will be made for initial try-out deposit. • If ANY team is canceled due to low enrollment, you will receive a refund. • NO REFUND is given to any PLAYER WHO DROPS OUT of the program. • Medical Reasons Only • Prior to first practice:  • There will be no refunds prior to the first practice, unless medical documentation with reason for inability to play is presented from a physician AND an player is available to replace the injured party. • Refund after first practice prior to June 1st: • There will be NO REFUNDS after the first practice, unless medical documentation (from a physician) with reason for inability to complete the summer is presented. The ownership will review the case and decide if a partial refund can be given. • Refund request made after June 1st: None. Everything has already been allocated and we cannot offer a refund.

  12. REFUND POLICY Cont.Also posted on the website • All refund requests must be submitted in writing with proper documentation. No refund will be considered without a written request. • All approved refunds will be charged a service fee. The reason is all funds are immediately allocated to Uniforms, practices facility, equipment used (goal cages, pinnies, cones, balls, tents for tournaments will all be provided by South Jersey Devils), the four tournaments, Recruitment Pamphlet, and Coaches Fees.
