  1. TYPES OF LEUKEMIA Acute lymphocytic leukemia This is the most widely occuring type of childhood leukemia. It can spread to central nervous system and lymph nodes. Acute myelogenous leukemia This is the second most occurring type of childhood leukemia and possibly the most common for grown-ups. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia This is the other most normal type of grown-up leukemia Chronic myelogenous leukemia Too many blood stem cells become a type of white blood cell called granulocytes.
