  1. Recommendations These are our recommendations and the reasons why we decided on them.

  2. Give us more option/choice • Students become more involved in education and their future. • Extends our thinking and frames of mind.

  3. Teach us less content • Evidence from thinking reading that teachers tend to do the thinking for students. • Students don’t learn as well when the teachers trying to teach them too much in a lesson.

  4. Challenge Us • To extend ourselves and get our brains working. • So the students persevere and see what they can do.

  5. Keep it Fresh !! • Students get bored doing the same thing over and over again. • But review the old stuff so we remember what we’ve already learnt. Don’t go into lots of detail about it.

  6. Practise Thinking • So we know how to use the different types of thinking. • And can use the different types of thinking in different situations.

  7. Teachers and students should know about types of thinking. The core knowledge would be; names, description, slogans/recognise each type. • So that when teachers ask students to use a certain type of thinking the student would be able to remember either a slogan or description about that type and they would be able to use it. • The students/teachers would be asked for a description of a certain type of thinking and would be able to give one.
