Course Overview • Grading Policy • Based on assignments and personal case portfolio • Attendance Policy • After two absences 5 points will come off your final grade for each class missed • Perfect or near perfect (only one missed class) attendance with receive 5 or 10 point on their final grade

  6. Course Overview First Assignment : • Why are you taking this course? • What is your experience in fundraising?

Your Assigned Case • Each student will work with one organization and development professional • Assignments will be based on the class lecture • Students will develop a portfolio that will be comprised of all assignments and other components. The Portfolio is your final exam and will serve as a resource for the future.

In Class Assignment Pretend you are a donor interested in making a contribution to your individual case organization but want to call to speak to someone to inquire about the process. • Does the organization’s website provide clear information on who to contact and their phone number? • Call or email your contact person and introduce yourself and exchange contact information.
