37. South Asia • As you should know by now, South Asia includes the Indian subcontinent (landmass like a continent, only smaller) and its nearby islands • South Asia contains ancient cultures and rapidly growing populations

38. South Asia Landforms • Himalayas – stretch for 1500 miles forming a barrier between India and China • Himalayas form part of the border of northern India • Formed from the collision of the Indian Subcontinent (baby continent) into Asia
