Copy the vocab: • inner core: a solid sphere that is the inner-most layer inside the earth • outer core: a liquid layer made of iron and nickel which lies above the inner core and below the mantle • crust: the thin outer-most layer of the earth • lithosphere: The rigid upper-portion (crust and upper part of mantle) of the earth that is broken into plates. • mantle: the layer of the earth between the crust and the outer core
