Understanding Weather and Climate: Impacts and Changes

Weather refers to the state of the atmosphere concerning wind, temperature, and moisture, while climate represents the long-term prevailing conditions in a region. Climate change is largely driven by human-induced greenhouse gases, leading to issues such as melting ice caps and biodiversity loss. This change affects various species, including polar bears and turtles, as they face habitat loss and altered reproductive conditions. Understanding these concepts is crucial for addressing the challenges posed by climate change and protecting our environment.

  1. Weather!

  2. Do you know what is weather? • A state of the atmosphere with respect to wind, temperature, cloudiness, moisture, pressur, etc. Examples a strong wind or storm or strong winds and storms collectively

  3. What is Climate? • the composite or generally prevailing weather conditions of a region, as temperature, air pressure, humidity, precipitation, sunshine, cloudiness, and winds, throughout the year, averaged over a series of years.

  4. What Are The Similarities? • to expose to the weather; dry, season, or otherwise affect by exposure to the air or atmosphere: to weather lumber before marketing it. • the composite or generally prevailing weather conditions of a region, as temperature, air pressure, humidity, precipitation, sunshine, cloudiness, and winds, throughout the year, averaged over a series of years

  5. What can be causing the climate to change? • I think that the green house gases that the humans are causing is that the ice capes is melting.

  6. How does changing climate impact the bioms? • The Victims • Turtles, polar bears, pequines , migratory birds, humans, and food production • Polar Bears are being infected by they are losing their homes • Turtles their eggs are being affected because its to hot and they are boiling. • Humans are one of the man causes of green house gases and global warming

  7. How is the global climate changing • It is getting hotter because of green house gasses and the sun.
