  4. Team/Department Sites Overview • First step: Organize (Need site owners, contributors, etc) • Meet and Design • Gather technical requirements • Propose a “theme” • Draw layout • Propose “draft” • Finalize • Publish • Communicate

  6. Create a Document Library • Click Site actions (Need owner access) • Click Create

  7. Document Workflows • Go to your Document Library • Hover your mouse over the document • Click the down arrow that appears • Click Workflows

  8. Workflows Cont… • Choose your type of workflow (may be different than below depending on your IT dept) • Approval or Collect Feedback

  9. Workflows Cont… • Specify who you want to review or approve your document

  10. Incoming Email- Workflow Initiator • The person who initiated the workflow will receive an email stating that the workflow has started

  11. Incoming Email- Assignee • The assignee will receive an email with a task assignment • The assignee can edit the document or view it and mark the task as complete

  12. Assignee Feedback • The assignee can type feedback, request a change, or reassign the task

  13. Progress Reminder- Outlook • Check the progress of the originator’s workflow right from Outlook

  14. Checking Progress in SharePoint • Find out who has tasks assigned to them and if the tasks havebeen completed or not. • Check workflow history to evaluate how long it takes to get a document reviewed or approved

  15. Workflow Completed • Once the workflow has been completed, the originator receives an email letting them know it has been completed.

Scanning Paper Docs to SharePoint Electronically • Assign permissions to scan • Choose Settings- Document library settings • Choose Incoming email settings • Choose the appropriate security policy for your library • Scan your documents to the email address you specified on the previous slide.
