Where does the sun set ? The sun sets in the west.

Lesson out come: After this lesson we will be able to- ◙ Say what is preposition ◙ Say how many kinds of preposition ◙ Use some prepositions
‘Pre’ means before. ‘Position’ means staying. Preposition is a word which sits before noun or pronoun and make a relation between noun/pronoun and other word of the sentence.
Some words which are used as preposition: At, in, on, into, after, since, for, by, with, but, within, Between, among, out of, of, off, over, about, before, along, across, up, below, under, behind, against, through, down, in front of, from……
How many kinds of preposition ? six What are they ? 1. Simple preposition- my father is at home. 2. Double preposition- he came to School without pen. 3. Compound preposition- the sky is above us. 4. Phrase preposition- he rose by dint of merit. 5.Participle preposition- considering his age he was let off. 6. Disguised preposition- he went a hunting.
Uses of some prepositions: 1. We live atBagerhat. 2. His brother lives in London. 3. Mukta entered into the room. 4.My father came on Saturday. 5. Alam came to meet me. 6. He has been ill for five days.
