  3. Question of the Day…. • What can you do to help prevent getting sick???

  4. Hand Washing Experiment • We will complete this in the lab, but first we need to record some information. • On Page 22, Please label the page “Hand Washing Experiment.

  5. Record this information… • Question: Which method of handwashing produces the best results? • Materials: • Cooking Oil • Cinnamon • Soap • Sink with cold and hot water • Stopwatch

  6. Procedures: • Select two people in the group to be the ones who “dirty” their hands. • One person will be in charge of soap and helping clean the hands. • One person will be in charge of timing and the stopwatch and recording the time in the graphs. • You will follow the directions on your lab sheet for each trial. Stop at each interval and record how clean your hands were.

  7. Other stuff… • Please don’t go crazy. • No splashing water. • Noise should be kept at a minimum. • Water on the floor should be cleaned up immediately. • The recorder should take the time to record the information in each person’s chart.
