DEFINICIÓN El cuadro de CAD se instaura como consecuencia de un déficit de la concentración de insulina circulante, asociado a insulino resistencia y un incremento de la producción de Hormonas contrarreguladoras (glucagón, catecolaminas, cortisol y hormona de crecimiento).     12. FISIOPATOGENIA

    21. 2) Signos de deshidratación -Enoftalmos -Mucosas secas -Dientes sin brillo -Piel caliente con pérdida de turgencia -Signo del pliegue (en menores de 2 ańos) 3) Signos de acidosis: -Rubicundez facial -Aliento cetónico -Hiperventilación (Respiración de Kussmaul u otra manifestación) -Dolor abdominal -Náuseas y/o vómitos -Dolor lumbar

    26. Los criterios bioquímicos para diagnóstico son: • Glucemia > 250 mg/dl, cetonemia y cetonuria. • pH < 7,3 y bicarbonato < 15 mEq/L • Deshidratación > 5%. • Con/sin vómitos, con/sin afectación del estado general.
