  2. Fiat FIAT stands for Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino and it was born in 1899. It is now known as Fiat Automobiles and with Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Abarth & C. and Fiat Professional it is known as Fiat Group Automobiles.

  3. The 60’s By the 60's, FIAT was already an important society and it was trying to understand the consumer's requests. They started to Produce coupés and "spider" cars. The most famous cars of these years were the Fiat 125 and the Fiat 850.

  4. The 70’s In the early 70's FIAT produced cars not only in Italy but also in the actual Russia. It didn't only produce low powered cars like the Fiat 126, but also sport cars like the famous Fiat X1/9. In 1979 Fiat introduced their new car: the Fiat Ritmo.

  5. The 80’s In the early 80's(1983)we assisted at the birth of a car that is still used today: the Fiat Uno. It was designed by Giugiaro and it won "The Car of the Year" award. Another successful car was the Fiat Tipo, a derivation on the Uno car.

  6. The 90’s The 90's were a very productive years and most of the cars produced in that period are still used today. In the 90's Fiat produced cars like the new Seicento, the Punto (one of the most successful cars ever produced), the Brava(the bigger version) and the Bravo(the smaller version with 3 doors only).

  7. After the 90’s Through the years Fiat cars suffered major changes regarding mainly fuel consumption and aesthetics: they also had to consider envoirmental pollution thus starting a new production of GPL, which stands for Liquefied petroleum gas. It's is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as a fuel in heating appliances and vehicles. It is increasingly used as an aerosol propellant and a refrigerant, replacing chlorofluorocarbons in an effort to reduce damage to the ozone layer. Some of the cars produced by Fiat were so famous that they decided to remake old ones instead of designing some new cars. This way they sold more cars.
