  2. Introducing Phase 2! • Rehires and Changes • A more user-friendly method of entering changes on existing PPS data • An alternative—but not a replacement—to the existing rehire and appointment change bundles in ‘regular’ PPS • Available for immediate use at: https://prod.ucop.edu/pp8

  3. PPS Web Enhancement Project Recap • Multi-campus effort to create a web interface for PPS • No changes to the underlying PPS structure • Project phases • New Hires (rolled out August 2010) • Rehires and Changes (June 2011) • Leaves and Separations (stay tuned!)

  4. Basic Objectives Recap • Interface is consistent with and supports policies and controls • Labels in “English”, not code • Intuitive design • Better navigation • Better help functions

  12. 3. Address & Disclosures – Home Address Possible Actions Change/Correct: • Home address • Disclosures Employee can also make these changes on At Your Service Online (AYSO)

  13. 3. Address & Disclosures – Campus Address Possible Actions Change/Correct: Campus address Movement to another department, such as: • Rehire • Transfer • Promotion

  14. 4. Citizenship & Taxes Possible Actions Change/Correct: • Citizenship status Ex: Change from non-resident to resident alien • Tax allowances

  15. 5. Employment Information Rehire important items: • Most Recent Hire Date • BELI • Employee Relations Code • Student Status • Special Training Req’d • Next Salary Review section (Career)
