  2. In 1929 the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language began in the University of Salamanca. Salamanca receives more than 10,000 foreign students. Currently there are in the University of Salamanca 641 researchers and 14 Research Groups related to the Spanish Language University of Salamanca- SpanishLanguage

  3. Concentration of resources in the VIII Centenary Building, which will integrate the areas of Teaching, Certification, Research and Transfer. Creation of the International Postgraduate School of Spanish Language involving four master degrees related to Spanish Language studies Promotion of R+D for the Spanish Language through the new Chair of Advanced Studies in Spanish Language (R+D Centre) Creation of jobs and business through the international model of Spanish Language Franchises Internaionalizationof the physical campus through the development of the virtual campus of the Spanish language Campus Model–SpanishLanguage

Cancer: the Centre for Cancer Research has been coordinating the Cooperative Research Thematic Network on Cancer (RTICC) since 2003 Agro-biotechnology: Centre of research in agro-biotechnology, biodiversity, genetic improvement, plant production, plant health, etc. rCIALE Laser: r CLPU Centre of research in laser technologies applied to biosciences. Neurosciences: Trough the INCYL, the University of Salamanca carries out important activity in national and international projects in the field of basic and applied neurosciences. DNA bank: It participates in the Human Genome Project Biosciences – Thematic Areas
