  5. SEA LION • HEAD: HAS SMALL, SLIM EXTERNAL EAR FLAPS. • FRONT FLIPPERS: LONG AND WING-LIKE; USUALLY HAIRLESS. NO NOTICEABLE NAILS • HIND FLIPPERS: LARGE AND PADDLELIKE; HAIRLESS; WEBBED DIGITS. NAILS MIDWAY ALONG MIDDLE DIGITS. CAN TURN HIND FLIPPERS FORWARD FOR LOCOMOTION ON LAND
