  1. SB1 Welcome Page Welcome Commodity Data Reports My Commodities Profiler Welcome to the Commodity Market Information System. Your one-stop shop for USDA commodity market information. • Commodity Data-This section provides data mining capabilities on data from AMS, FAS, NASS, FSA, ARS, and ERS. Select the commodity, the attributes, the time period, and get your data immediately. Historical data is available from 1993 and estimates are available to 2013. • FYI • BSE found in Canadian beef. Imports banned. Farmers blame rock-n-roll. • Orange juice prices plummet. • Millionaire brothers arrested for insider trading. • Reports –The Reports tab allows you to view or download reports published by AMS, FAS, ERS, NASS, FSA, ARS, and WAOB. Archived Reports are also available. • Profiler –Not sure where to begin? Select the attributes that apply to you on the Profiler. The system will then bring you to a customized set of data and reports that you might find interesting. If you would like to save this set of data, you can create a personalized page for yourself on My Commodities. • My Commodities –This tab offers a customizable page for your particular interests. Save queries or Reports to this page. You can update the page as often as you like.

SB 2 Commodity Data Page Welcome Commodity Data Reports My Commodities Profiler Commodity Intelligence Query Tool Use this tool to search for commodity specific data such as supply and use, inventory levels, and production costs, and prices. Macroeconomic Query Tool Use this tool to search for macroeconomic data such as growth rates, exchange rates, unemployment rates, etc. Weather Query Tool Use this tool to search for weather related information such as precipitation, temperature, crop reports, etc. More Tools TBD

Select Commodity Variable Select Year Select Location Select Commodity Area SB 2.1 CIQ Tool Page Welcome Commodity Data Reports My Commodities Profiler Commodity Intelligence Query Tool Use the drop down lists to create a query on the CMIS database. The CMIS database contains data from AMS, FAS, NASS, FSA, ERS, and WAOB. You can look for information concerning inventory levels, operating costs, and prices. Data is available for domestic and foreign locales. After you select one or many items in a drop down list, another list will appear. Each new lists offers variables based on your previous selection. Every query begins with this selection. Wheat, Coarse Grains, Rice, Oilseeds, Cotton, Livestock, Sugar. Based on the Commodity selected, a list of products is made available. Corn, Soybeans, Soybean Meal, Soybean Oil, Null. Select Specific Commodity or Product Users can find Inventory, Operating Costs, or Price Data. If Inventory Data Type is selected, a list of countries including the U.S. is displayed. Select the year or years for which to run the query. NOTE: This is a sample of data elements.

Select Economic Data Type Select Location Select Year SB 2.2 Macro Query Tool Page Welcome Commodity Data Reports My Commodities Profiler Macroeconomic Query Tool Use the drop down lists to create a query on the CMIS database. The CMIS database contains data from ERS, NASS, DOL and WAOB. You can look for information concerning unemployment rates, exchange rates, and U.S. economic growth rates. After you select one or many items in a drop down list, another list will appear. Each new lists offers variables based on your previous selection. Every macroeconomic query begins with this selection. Unemployment Rates, Exchange Rates, Growth Rates. If the user selects “Exchange Rates,” a list of countries appears for selection. All queries require at least one year to be selected.

Below are links to the reports stored within CMIS. Every report published by AMS, FAS, FSA, ERS, NASS, and WAOB are available. Click on a category to view available reports. Or, scroll through the entire Index of Reports. You can also search all reports by keyword. Search All Reports Search By Commodity Reports are in this section are organized by commodity: Coarse Grains, Rice, Wheat, Oilseeds, Livestock, Cotton, and Sugar. By Agency Reports in this section are organized by agency. (AMS, ARS, FAS, FSA, ERS, NASS, and WAOB) Index of Reports This section is an alphabetical listing of all reports. Click on one report retrieve to a particular issue of that report. Most Recent The most recently released reports are listed in this section. In addition, you can query the system for reports released within a particular time period. Most Popular The top 10 most requested reports are listed in this section. This list is updated weekly.

Amber Waves replaces Agricultural Outlook, FoodReview, and Rural America.
