The Human Skull. The skull is made of thin, flat bones that come together in joints called sutures. The functions of the skull are to PROTECT the brain as well as give SUPPORT to the shape of the brain. It also allows for expression through the MOVEMENT of muscles. SKULL LABELS.

  11. The MANDIBLE is the only moveable bone on the skull! The rest are locked in place after about a year old.
