  1. Newsletter 3 November 7, 2008 News from 1A44 Mrs. Winter’s KG Kids Writing Workshop News Our writing partners are helping us plan our stories across our fingers. We talk to our partners about our story and they help us write more details. Every day we practice putting spaces between words and writing more letters in words so others can read our terrific stories.

  2. Newsletter 3 November 7, 2008 News from 1A44 Mrs. Winter’s KG Kids Literacy Highlights We have met author Joy Cowley’s most famous character Mrs. Wishy-washy. We think she’s funny and has lots of rules on her farm about keeping clean. During our book talks we continue to make connections between the book we are reading and our own experiences. Making connections helps us understand stories. As you read with your child talk about those connections before, during, and after you read. We know the letter sounds B, F, G, H, J, M, N, P, R, S, T, and W. By Christmas, we will know all of the letters.

John and Jessica (Samuel’s parents) will provide turkey for the gathering. Each family will be asked to bring a dish to share that they would typically have at one of their family celebrations.
