Target audience & genre The genre is going to be R&B music The target audience for my music magazine is teenagers, young artists and people interested in music It is for teenagers aged 15-19 interested in R&B music and unknown artists It has relate to the target audience for example personal experiences

Main story • The main story is going to be about a new singer/musician with an interview the interview will include: • How she started in the music industry? • What influences the music? • What music she listens to? • What instruments does she play? • The main story will also include pictures of her playing

5. Price & publishing The price of my magazine will between £1.20-£3.00 this will be reasonable and affordable to the target audience I will publish with a company that publishes music and music magazines that are close/similar to mine these are: future PLC, IPC media, MPA

6. Advertisement • How will I advertise my magazine? • Bus stops • Billboards • Posters • On networking sites I chose these ways to advertise as people use or see these in everyday life, and by using networking sites to advertise will get my target group’s attention as they are well known sites

7. Analyzing music magazines The name of the magazine ‘wonderland’ stands out by being on a strip This caption/masthead tells the reader who the magazine is mainly going to be about The alliteration of ‘revolt, recall, renew’ lets the readers know what the purpose of the magazine is It also shows who else is included in the magazine The image has been manipulated to give a spotlight effect on her It has the barcode and underneath it is the price and the date in very small print

It has the date and the price on it in small print This caption gets the audience to buy this magazine with this particular front cover All of the mastheads standout by being bold and bright pink The headline and caption in the centre catches your attention so you know what the double page spread is going to be about The image has been manipulated; the light has been focused on her to five a shadow behind her and to give the background lightness as well but to still keep the darkness in the corner It tells the audience that the magazine includes these people It has a barcode

9. Analyzing magazine covers Two of these magazines are similar as the title is in front of the main image to make sure they have the focus of the audience However this cover has all the text behind the main image to keep the focus remained on him These three covers are similar as they all have two main font colors to make their text stand out

Analyzing content pages The light in the background softens the main image of the women as she is in the spotlight The way the title contents is written is different as it is not in one line The text is quite small that you can’t read it without being quite close There is a little bit of negative space here however it is filled with this small text

Like the first contents page the text is quite small so you can mainly read it from close up, it also leaves a lot of negative space The image of Katy Perry and the mushroom balances out the color as they are matching and don’t leave the page plain The main image is quite bright however it is softened by the slight tone in the background There is a quote from Katy Perry which shows that the focus is Katy Perry and what she will be talking about

The title contents is also different on each one two of them are slightly bold however one has gone completely different and gone smaller On all three of the images the audience will mainly focus on the eyes because they all have a slight facial expression All three of these contents pages are laid out similarly as the text is all at the side of the image

Analyzing double page spreads The title USA is bright and bold, and the got the love links to Florence’s song, but is also saying USA got the love meaning that it is a fan of hers The color red brightens up the double page as it is a bright and eye-catching color and helps to balance the page background and match her hair There is not too much text or not too little which might annoy their reader it is also black on a grey background which makes it easier to read The image is also big and takes up the whole left page

14. The title is quite bright which stands out more than the pictures Like this magazine it is common to have a big image taking up one page This magazine might have a audience that does not like a lot of text as there is little text in this magazine You can see that the image has been manipulated to brighten the contrast and adjust the color to a slight yellow-brown The layout of the pictures is in a way that is makes you look at them in the right order, it is also in the form of a storyboard

15. These two magazines are similar as they have the singers name to let the audience know who it is and who its about They used a big C to make they page stand out more. They used a big C because it is the letter of her name This image has been edited to make him stand out and the other three faded this is to keep the focus on him as the main singer They used red text for a quote to make it stand out Like the first two magazines all three of these have a big image taking up one page
