  1. Welcome to 4th Grade

  2. Expectations Teacher Expectations: I will create a safe, enjoyable, and fair learning environment where ALL students will be successful. Student Expectations: Students will be respectful, hard working, and responsible with all of their work and duties.

  3. Our Daily Schedule All 4th grade students will switch teachers throughout the day. • 7:50 School Starts • 10:30-11:00 Recess • 12:30-1:00 Lunch • 1:25 – 2:10 Specials (P.E., Computers, Music, & Art) • 2:50 Dismissal

  4. Homework • Spelling contracts and lists will be given on Monday and spelling homework will be due on Thursday. • Mathhomework will be given on Monday and due Thursday. • Read each night for at least 20 minutes. • Review math facts nightly.

  5. Supplies • Please place supplies in designated areas throughout the room. • Please purchase pencil pouch by Wed., Aug. 24th.

  6. Important Dates • August 22 - 1st Day Of School! You may walk students to the classroom the first day of school. • August 26 – Back To School Event 6:30 pm • September 1 – Curriculum Night6:00 – 6:45pm   KN-2nd           6:45 – 7:30pm   3rd–5th • September 5 – No School • September 12-16: College Week • September 14 – Chick-fil-A Spirit Day • September 15- PTA Meeting & Watch DOGS Pizza Night 6:30 pm • September 28- Individual Picture Day • September 29 – Donuts with Dad at 7:30 am

  7. FYI • After the first day of school, students meet in the cafeteria if they arrive to school between 7:20 and 7:40. • School hours are 7:50am – 2:50pm • Store bought goodies can be brought to school for birthdays to be shared with the class at 2:35pm. • Please be mindful of any allergies in the class-discuss with teacher.

  8. Snack Time • Our lunch is scheduled for 12:30 this school year. • We will have snack during recess at 10:30. • Please provide a healthy snack each day for your child. • Water bottles are encouraged.

  9. A Few Reminders • Skateboards, Ripsticks, shoes with wheels, scooters, & roller blades are not allowed at school (safety and storage issues) • Tennis shoes must be worn in PE • Students who have a fever of 100 degrees or above must be fever free for a full 24 hours (without taking a fever reducer) before returning to school • All toys must stay at home (no trading cards, silly erasers, etc. please).

  10. How to contact 4th grade teachers • Conference Time • Mon., Thurs., and most Fridays 1:25 – 2:10 • We will not check email or answer the telephone during instructional time. Thank you for understanding. • Please send a note to school if there is a change in transportation. Last minute phone calls to the front office are discouraged. • Our email addresses are listed on the newsletter, and under the “contact us” section of the website.

  12. Dismissal There have been a few changes to dismissal: Robinson Road: K-1 car pool lines Crystal Creek: 2-5 car pool lines Older 4th grade siblings with K-1 younger siblings will meet the younger sibling in the K-1 line. They will no longer pick up younger siblings and bring them to the 2-5th carpool line.
