  1. Welcome to 4th Grade

All About Mrs. Adick • Born in Atlanta, Georgia • Graduated high school in Michigan. • Graduated in 1999 from John Carroll University with a BA in Elementary Education. • Obtained my masters degree as a reading specialist from Kent State in 2003. • Taught graduate level courses at John Carroll University. • I have been married 11years to Jeff Adick, a teacher in South Euclid- Lyndhurst. • I have three daughters Carolyn who is 8 and Sophie is 7 and Gretchen who is 4. • I love reading , being outside with my kids, and watching football.

  3. Curriculum and Schedule • You may go to my website to see a list of the things studied in fourth grade. • Writing and Reading with me. • Math with Mrs. Read: Social Studies with Mrs. Read. • Specials run everyday from 9:45-10:45 • Lunch/Recess 12:45-1:45

  4. Specials Rotation • Special Rotation • Day 1 (Red) Art • Day 2 (Orange) Library Guidance • Day 3 (Yellow) Chinese/Spanish Physical Education • Day 4 (Green) SSR Music/Strings • Day 5 (Blue) Physical Education Chinese/Spanish • Day 6 (Purple) Music/Strings SSR

Assignments • The assignment planner will be filled out with the class and checked and initialled by me. • Students will have math homework given on a daily basis. • Social Studies/ Science homework assigned on a daily basis • Students will have spelling due each Friday. Tests are every other Friday. • Students must read 60 minutes a week. • Students will be assigned Compass Learning or Ongoing Test Practice each week

  7. Parent Communication • All graded papers will go home on Fridays in the Friday folder. • Email is the best form of communication. • All information is on my class website, • http://www.chagrinschools.org/Adick.aspx • which can be accessed through the school’s web page.
