  4. Someone Special Below is the schedule of events that Ihave planned to celebrate your child. Iappreciate your help with this so your child may have a very special week. • MONDAY:Lunch Buddy —If possible, join your child in the cafeteria for a special lunch on this day.  You may also choose to invite a sibling or a favorite relative to be your child’s lunch buddy.  If you can’t make it today, you can come for lunch anytime this week! • TUESDAY:Class Book—Each student will write a paragraph about him/herself. The other students in class will write a paragraph about the special person too. These letters will come home at the end of the week. • WEDNESDAY:Poster Board Sharing -- Your child is to make a poster board at home with pictures and other items that show all about them. This will hang on our someone special board. They may also bring small items to show the class. • THURSDAY:Parent Letter—Please write a letter to the class telling us how special your child is to you.  Send the letter in a sealed envelope to school with your child, and I will read the letter to the class during the day.  The content of the letter is up to you, but you may want to choose from the following ideas: Describe special or funny stories about your child for the class to hear, write a silly or serious poem about your child, tell us some neat things we may not know about your child, send silly or special pictures with a letter describing the pictures, or write a short story with your child as the main character.  You may also send a short video for the class to watch if you choose. • FRIDAY: Class Treat – Your child can bring a special treat to share with the class on Friday.
