  4. Research At the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), a research group was established in 2010 to consider the empirical evidence of learning with computer games. This group explored opportunities to develop the use of technology at UWS and explore potential funding proposals for future research.

  5. Conclusion The well-designed andappropriate use ofe-learning and digital gamingtechnology hasthe potential to enhance the learning outcomesof students in higher education.

  6. But these activities need to be planned, designed and integrated into curricula carefully.
