Lesson Objectives: The students will understand the Tang Dynasty’s impact on Buddhism in China. They will also understand Tang China’s connections with the outside world. In addition, the students will understand the rise and character of Neo-Confucianism in China. They will also understand the Song Dynasty’s unique military and economic circumstances.
