  2. Temperature • The temperature can range from around -40 degrees Fahrenheit100 degrees Fahrenheit. Prairies are very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter.

  3. Precipitation • The prairie biome will get around 10 to 30 inches of rain each year and around 20 to 35 inches of snow each year. Prairies also have high humidity.

  4. Weather patterns and Air pressure • You can expect prairies to get warmer and sunnier in the summer and colder in the winter. The air pressure is usually between 28 and 31Hg.

  5. Weather Impact • Wind in the prairies help scatter seeds, helping the plant life spread. Depending on the humidity and rainfall in areas, the grasses can grow up to around 5 feet.
