  2. What are Focus Areas • Focus Areas are plans to help you choose electives in high school that will help you when you graduate and want to go to university • Ex. If you want to be a French teacher, then you will need to take French 12. If you want to be an architect, you don’t need to take French 12.

  3. Right Now… • Write down three jobs you want to do in the future

  4. Activity • In small groups, you are going to learn about one focus area. • You will need to prepare a very short presentation on your focus area next class

  5. Activity • You will need to tell the class: • What your focus area means • Who would want to take this focus area (interests) • What jobs you can have with this focus area • Everyone must speak in your presentation • You will be presenting October 31
