Introduction  An analog mixer is a musical device used in live music and recording that amplifies and combines signals from microphones or instruments.  The analog mixers with onboard mixing feature like EQ and panning effects to hear inputs.  Individual mixer tracks are combined at the end of the signal flow to create a single stereo output sent to a recording device, the PA system amplifier, or headphone output.  Many mixers have extensive signal routing options, including aux sends groups and inserts.  Although analog mixers come in a wide range of sizes and shapes, the small and medium-sized desktop models utilized for live sound and home recording are the most prevalent
