  • Unlike metals plastics do notreact with water and air hence do not corrode easily.

PLASTIC IS LIGHT, STRONG AND DURABLE
  • It is therefore used for making buckets or mugs of different shapes and sizes which are generally cheaper than metals.

  • It is used for making covering of electricalwires, handles of screw drivers and handles of frying pans.
