  2. Voltage Divider Change • Was: 5.85 MOhm -> field cage current =360 uA • Double resistance: 11.7 MOhm -> field cage current = 180 uA Compares to 0.5 uA Ion back drift current Savings in Power Supplies? TRD status meeting GSI Clemens Adler

  3. Leak Tightness of Prototype • Leak rate (determined for PRR): 1,5mbar*l/h • Gas sniffer shows leak in Padplane: ->some contact hole not glued • No other significant leaks found TRD status meeting GSI Clemens Adler

  4. Winding Frame New Winding Frame Design tested: • seems very stable • little contact area-> wire slips easily Probably design change necessary... TRD status meeting GSI Clemens Adler

  5. Soldering • Hotbar reflow soldering machine is ordered • Soldering will be done at IKF Frankfurt • Soldering on bare copper seems feasible • Tests at Panacol planned • Problem: need >10 micron tin to solder: -Padplane: silkscreen solderpaste then reflow in oven -Cable: apply tin by dipping TRD status meeting GSI Clemens Adler

  6. Soldering cont. More open questions: -Positioning of Cables: Aluminum template which gives Cable position-> fix with Tesa -Storage of Padplanes (IKF or Hd)? -Table for Soldering machine: build by IKF TRD status meeting GSI Clemens Adler

  7. Padplane Test Setup Measurement for shorts/contact by capacitance measurement. Principle works, but too much noise. Needed: Hardware TRD status meeting GSI Clemens Adler

  8. Production Plans • Material for chamber frame arrives next week • Start production of chamber frames+radiators • Start wiring as soon as ledges/ windingframe/ wire ready. • Store frames with wires until padplane panel ready • Start bonding as soon as padplanes are available • Final assembly when Fischer panel is available TRD status meeting GSI Clemens Adler
