  1. Looking for Something Unique to Do on the Gold Coast? Try These

  2. The Gold Coast is a veritable treasure trove of activity and attractions. However, as fun and cool as they may be, many of the attractions are run-of-the-mill. But, the beauty of a place like the Gold Coast is that there are more things to do than you could ever imagine.

  3. This means that you don’t have to settle for those run-of-the-mill activities. If you go off the beaten path, it’s certain you’ll find activities that are just as fun and cool as all the other Gold Coast activities. You just have to know where to look.

  4. Take a Mini Trip in a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure with Paradise Seaplanes

  5. Paradise Seaplanes is based at Maroochy River on the Sunshine Coast and offers adventurous flights all around the Sunshine Coast. Some of their flights include:

  6. Your own adventure aboard the WilgaWarbird • The Maroochy River Adventure: Take a 30-minute adventure and circle over Point Cartright, sweep along Mooloolaba Beach, then land at Maroochydore.

  7. The Noosa River Adventure: Fly along the Maroochy River to the coast, then head over to Mudjimba Island, fly around Mt Coolum and Mt Ninderry and over Lake Weyba and Noosa National Park. All in just under an hour.

  8. The Double Island Point Adventure: Fly from the Maroochy River along the beaches to Noosa, over the Great Sandy Strait National Park to Double Island Point and finally back to the MaroochyRiver

  9. The Sunshine Coast Adventure: Once again, fly from the Maroochy River, fly over MooloolabaHarbour along the beaches over to Caloundra and back to the river.

  10. Look for Ghosts on the Backstreets of Surfers Paradise

  11. You can find a ghostly adventure on the backstreets of Old Surfers Paradise. All you’ll need is a lantern and a lot of courage. Tour guides light the way as you hunt for ghosts in the laneways and backstreets like the Glitter Strip.

  12. Plus, you’ll visit the scariest locations, including the Pentridge Prison and the Old Melbourne Jail. Tours last for one and a half hours and along the way you’ll see some of the most historic sites on the Gold Coast.

  13. Take a Safari on a Segway

  14. The Segway Safari at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a unique and fun activity. The sanctuary is surrounded by miles of coastal rainforest, so if you want to see as much as possible, you’ll need a quicker way to get around than your feet.

  15. The Segway is the perfect alternative, as it’s just slow enough to allow you to take in all the greenery and wildlife at the sanctuary. You could stop and feed the kangaroos or saltwater crocs, talk to the birds or cuddle and take a picture with the koalas.

  16. The safari is a 40-minute guided tour that is meant for individuals 10 years and older and includes a 10-minute training session.
