  1. Reminders • School will be closed on Monday 6th May for the Bank Holiday. School will also be closed on Tuesday 7th May for staff INSET day. School will re-open on Wednesday 8th May at 8:50am. • Please ensure there is consistency with your child’s choice of dinner. We have the option of a ‘Fantastic Friday’ for children who do not usually have a school dinner. Please see next week’s Fantastic Friday choice below. • There has been an increased number of children on the playground before 8:35am. Parents are reminded there has been no changeto the school day. Children are allowed to come in school from 8:35am, the school day begins at 8:50am. As the playground is unsuperviseduntil 8:35am, please do not send your child any earlier. Reception children must be brought into school by an adult. School finishes at 3:05pm. Please ensure you collect your child at 3:05pm prompt. Thank you. • Thank you to everyone who has returned the medical forms sent out this week. If you have not already done so, please sign and return the form whether your child has any medical conditions/allergies or not. • With the warmer weather, children are wearing their summer uniform. You are reminded that girls can wear a blue summer dress and boys can wear grey shorts. However, they must still need to wear their school cardigan/jumper on top. Attendance The school attendance regulations currently allow Headteachers to grant pupils leave of absence for going on a family holiday during term-time, however, we have just been notified by the Local Authority that recent amendments made to statutory guidance will remove all reference to family holidays and extended leave. This means that with effect from 1st September 2013 Headteachers can no longer authorise any leave of absence unless there are verifiable ‘exceptional circumstances’ and parents submit an advance application. As a result of this new regulation, we will have to review and update our attendance policy and this will be sent once it has been approved by the Governing Body. Friday 3rd May 2013Newsletter Fantastic Friday Children who don’t usually have a school dinner have the option to have one on Fridays. Fantastic Friday menu for Friday 10th May 2013 is: Cheese lattice with chips Fish with oven chips Jacket potato Peas and sweetcorn Milk and water Dessert – Cookies PTO for more info and diary dates… Roe Lee Park School Newsletter July 2007 Roe Lee Park School Newsletter July 2007
