  2. Zeus is the Greek god • He is associated with the a lightning bolt • He is endlessly portrayed in art, such as on vases • He is a powerful Greek warrior • It is said that he is fair and even handed

  3. Zeus is married to Hera but is famous for his many affairs. • He would punish those who lie or break oaths. • He is represented as the god of justice and mercy. • The protector of the weak and punisher of the wicked.

  4. It is important to note, however, that Zeus was not considered to be a tyrant and literature depicts him as fair and even-handed, especially considering that one of his main functions was the lord of Justice.

  5. It is said that Zeus had eighty one children. • He took his sister as his wife and queen. • Aside from Hera there was lots of women involved with Zeus

  6. Zeus wanted to keep the fire just the gods and goddesses so the people on earth couldn’t cook with it • Zeus was referred to as the weather and the god of Olympus • Zeus was also the lord and enforcer of Xenia

  7. All over Greece different people worshiped Zeus differently • The regard in which Zeus held man is unclear, as different myths involving Zeus' relationship and encounters with humankind offer varied evidence.
