ACCOUNTING I/II Students investigate the field of accounting, including how it is impacted by industry standards as well as economic, financial, technological, international, social, legal, and ethical factors. Students reflect on the knowledge as they engage in the process of recording, classifying, summarizing, analyzing, and communicating accounting information.
  3. BANKING AND FINANCE Students develop knowledge and skills about many of the aspects of banking to become consumers, employees, and entrepreneurs. Students incorporate knowledge that includes the operations, sales, and management of banking institutions to understand the function of a bank within society.
  4. BUSINESS LAW In this class students get the opportunity to…. Analyze the social responsibility of business and industry regarding issues relating to: Legal Environment Business Ethics Contracts Sales Torts and many more! It can also help you incorporate a broad base of knowledge like legal, financial and international dimensions of business to make appropriate business decisions in the future.

BUSINESS INFORMATION MANAGEMENT I/II Students apply personal and interpersonal skills to strengthen their performance in the workplace and in society and make a successful difference to the workforce and education system. Students will learn technical skills to manage business applications of increasing technologies, create word-processing documents, develop a spreadsheet, formulate a database, and make an electronic presentation using proper software.

BUSINESS INFORMATION MANAGEMENT COLLEGE NOW Students will gain knowledge in Microsoft Office programs Work with computers and software to create: Spreadsheets Databases Presentations Word Documents Students will gain a college credit for completing this course Students will gain knowledge and skills to help them become successful in the professional workplace

  9. PRACTICUM in BUSINESS MANAGEMENT I/II This course allows students to have a hands-on experience with the future professions they would like to enter. In class, the students work on enhancing their computer skills that will help them at their workplace. The students are in the class during fifth period for an hour. This class also allows the student to become a member of the organization, Business Professionals of America (BPA). This class helps the student understand how to handle their professional and also their personal lives.
  10. PRACTICUM at work….. This course teaches on to manage school and work hand in hand. Right after class is over, you are to report to your work station on time. Jobs vary at timing, some start right after the class while others don’t start till 30minutes or even an hour later. MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON TIME! At work you have to be responsible of daily duties. Communicate well with co-workers, avoid gossip. Be respectable, well mannered, and prove yourself to be a professional individual. Treat your work place not only as a job, but also as a place to earn career experience from as well.

Get good jobs through the teacher such as working in offices and more. Go to competitions for BPA and get a chance to go to Dallas, Washington DC, or more.

  15. PRINCIPALS IN BUSINESS MARKETING and FINANCE You are able to learn: business skills, enterprising systems, marketing of goods , advertising, and pricing of the products. Also people can obtain some information about sales process and financial management.
  16. PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATIONS This class blends written, oral, and graphic communication in a business environment. Most careers require you to be creative and have a strong background in computers and technology as well as all kinds of communication. In this class, you will be expected to write, read, edit, speak, listen, apply software applications, manipulate computer graphics, and conduct Internet research. Best of all, it will count as a Speech credit! [WITH PRINCIPAL APPROVAL ONLY]

SECURITIES and INVESTMENTS Students will: Learn how to abide by rules and laws so they can direct business operations and transactions in the securities industry Access, process, maintain, evaluate, and disseminate information to assist in making decisions common to the securities industry Use career planning concepts to develop a career in securities industry Learn how to identify client needs and wants Respond to client through planned, personalized communication to influence purchase decisions and increase future securities sales opportunities
  18. STATISTICS and RISK MANAGEMENT Students will: Use a variety of graphical and numerical techniques to identify and manage risk that could impact an organization. Use probability as a tool for anticipating and forecasting data within business models to make decisions. Determine the appropriateness of methods used to collect data to ensure conclusions are valid.
  19. Learn technical skills that will help you address applications of emerging technologies in your future career Everything you learn in the classroom will contribute to the knowledge you will have when you enter the business world
  20. VIRTUAL BUSINESS Students will: Incorporate a broad base of knowledge in the different dimensions of business. Identify steps needed to locate customers, set fees, and develop client contracts. Provide services using advanced technological modes of communication and data delivery.

BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS of AMERICA Summary: The mission of Business Professionals of America (BPA)is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship,academic, and technologicalskills. What we do: BPA meets every first Friday of the month in the morning. Members of BPA compete in either team events or individual events. If a member places at regional, they move on to the state level and then the national level.

B.P.A Regional Business The field for which we prepare our students; emphasizes that we educate our members to work efficiently, not only in an office setting, but also in a wide variety of business situations. As a student, you have many options to consider during the school year. You weigh the extracurricular activities that are available and determine what opportunities will offer you the growth and experiences you will need for your future.   24. WEB MASTERY A web master is a person responsible for one or many web-sites. The duties of the webmaster may include: ensuring that the web servers hardware and software are operating correctly designing the website generating and revising web pages, replying to user comments and examining traffic through the site. Webmasters will be experienced in web transaction software, payment-processing software, and security software. Webmasters get the opportunity to solve html codes.
