  1. Do Now: The goals of the French Revolution were to achieve: “Liberty, Equality and Fraternity (Brotherhood).” What do you think this means? Aim/Goal:How did Napoleon restore order following the French Revolution?

  9. Rule of Napoleon • Code of Napoleon’s System of Laws 1. As Emperor of France, Napoleon established a system of law and government that was very different from Louis XVI. 2. All citizens had the right to vote…except women. 3. Freedom of the press and speech were granted to all…but government could stop the publishing of any material that was negative towards Napoleon.
