  6. Decommissioning GOES-10 COPC Action Item 2009-1.3: CSAB will collect projected impacts to OPC operations from (Decommissioning) losing GOES-10 southern hemisphere coverage beginning in November 2009. • WG/CSAB recommends closing this action item. • NCEP: No impacts (GOES-10 not used operationally) • NAVO: No impacts (GOES-10 not used operationally) • FNMOC: No impacts (GOES-10 not used operationally) • AFWA: Minor to moderate mission impacts

  7. Decommissioning GOES-10 AFWA: Minor to moderate mission impacts: 2nd Weather Group - Degraded volcano and ash plume monitoring over the Caribbean, Central and South America and degraded support to National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) for imaging and mapping services. Air Mobility Command (AMC) - Degraded support for several AMC missions in South American region including presidential moves, humanitarian relief, special event support [Summit of Americas (SOA), Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, etc] and special operations. Apiay Air Base, Columbia - Potential safety of flight impacts due to reduced convective Situational Awareness (SA). Radar coverage is extremely limited, with GOES-10 30-minute imagery considered vital to identify thunderstorms in Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). 7

  8. Ocean Glider Data COPC Action Item 2009-1.6: NAVO will determine if Ocean Glider data is releasable and if so, CSAB will acquire details on the content and format of data to be made available from the NAVO Ocean Glider Program and explore the possibility of a data delivery pilot. • NAVOCEANO does not have the authority to release the glider data. COPC may make a formal request to CNMOC asking that glider data be released. • WG/CSAB recommends closing this COPC action item [COPC 2009-1.6].

  9. NUOPC and COPC COPC Action Item 2008-2.15: CSAB will formally invite NUOPC Program Manager (or designee) to attend all future COPC meetings and to participate in CSAB meetings. WG/CSAB recommends closing this COPC action item [COPC 2008-2.15]. 9
