  4. Why did the Egyptians make mummies? • The Egyptians believed in the life after death. They thought that if the body of a dead person did not decay, he or she would live forever in another world.

  5. How did the Egyptians make mummies?

  6. 1. They took out the insides of a dead body.

  7. 2. They put some salt and spices in the dead body.

  8. 3. They wrapped it in cloth after drying it in the sun.

  9. 4. They put the mummy in a coffin.

  10. 5. They put the mummy and its coffins inside a large stone sarcophagus in the tomb.
