  1. Zombie Survivors Colony: You and a small group of survivors have escaped Mount Hebron High School from the zombie attack and due to the zombie apocalypse that has broken down society, you have to set up a colony to survive. On your paper you are going to draw and label a colony that you and your people can live in. Label every structure you put in your colony and why you have included it. Be sure to address the following: • Be sure the basic aspects of public health are in place • Be sure the basic needs to survive are in place • Be sure that you have access or means to replenish supplies • You may use existing structures • Address energy needs to run colony. Keep in mind society has broken down so you will not be getting power from the power plant. You have basic engineering skills. • You can construct basic defense structures to keep out zombies, but you have no guns or armory or formal weapons. In addition, you will not get graded on this portion. • You can design the geography to meet your needs the best, but be sure it doesn’t conflict the above requirements. You will get graded on: • Did you meet the basic aspects and needs of public health? (see #8) • Did you address the basic needs for survival for a long period of time? (see #11) • Did you address a renewable energy source that can be maintained? (see #13) • Did you identify the above and provide an explanation for their inclusion? (see #13) • How sustainable is your community? How long could you live there? Keep in mind some things take time to recycle.
