Exploring Future Grid Technologies for Complex Problem-Solving Applications

This directorate focuses on advancing grid technology infrastructures and applications in emerging technologies. Research at the frontier of knowledge in FP6, structuring ERA, integrating and strengthening European R&D, and improving links between national and EU policies. Leveraging high-performance grids, GÉANT network deployment, and collaborative research initiatives to enhance complex problem-solving capabilities. Key instruments include Integrated Projects (IPs) and Networks of Excellence (NoEs) to realize the European Research Area. An innovative approach towards goal-oriented, strategic, and flexible research and development.
