  2. Cardiovascular and its complications are the leading causes of death in the United States and the world as a whole. One is every 3 deaths is from heart disease and stroke equal to 200 deaths per day, and 9 deaths per minute. • Epidemiological studies indicate that uncontrolled elevated blood pressure leads to stroke, coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure and end state renal disease. • ACSM, AHA, along with the 1996 U.S Surgeon General’s report. Reinforces the scientific evidence linking regular physical activity to various measures of cardiovascular health.

  3. What is Hypertension (High BP)? • Why I chose this topic. • Physiological effects of exercise on Cardiovascular system. • Exercise Intensity and duration: How hard and for how long.

  4. Which one of the two exercise is more beneficial, Aerobic or Resistance? • Is There an ‘Additive’ effect in reducing blood pressure when exercise is combine with weight loss and diet? • Can Exercise prevent hypertension?

  5. The Acute and Chronic Anti-Hypertensive effects of exercise. • Meta-Analysis studies in collaboration of our research studies yielded positive results. • Our findings debunk the theory of the impact equality of Aerobic exercise and Resistance training on reduction of BP.

  9. There are many research been conducted on Aerobic exercise but very few have been done on Weight training. • ACSM in conjunction with AHA, issued a joint statement regarding the relative benefits of the two types.
